Winter Carnival at Mount Fort Academy
The Return of the Pied Piper -
On the 22nd of December 2024, Mount Fort Academy hosted its grand annual carnival, “The Return of the Pied Piper,” bringing an unforgettable day filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful messages for the modern world. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Pied Piper of Hamelin, the event shed light on the challenges faced by today’s children, including the overuse of gadgets, unhealthy junk food habits, and indulgence.
Through a vibrant and thought-provoking performance, the Pied Piper visited the children and helped them overcome these modern-day “manifestations of rats.” He left an impactful message for the parent community, reminding them that time is the most precious gift they can give to their children.
The event was graced by the presence of the distinguished politician, Mrs. Savita Kapoor, MLA (Dehradun Cantt), whose participation served as a great source of motivation for the Mount Fort Academy family. The Directors, Dr. Puja Jain and Mr. Atin Jain, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Kapoor by presenting her with a memento and a bouquet as a token of appreciation. The blessings of Chairman Mr. V.K. Jain and Director Ashish Jain added warmth and encouragement to the event, lighting up the faces of the young participants.
The carnival was a delightful experience for all, featuring exciting games like hoopla and darts alongside a variety of delicious food stalls, which became instant crowd favorites. The showstopper of the day was the skating performance by the talented students of Mount Fort Academy, which captivated the audience. However, the crowning glory was the spectacular performance by Sarthak Pokhriyal, a.k.a. The Pied Piper, who stole the show with his exceptional portrayal.
The carnival, titled ‘Aurora,’ also marked the beginning of the Christmas festivities. The joyful carol singing, vibrant Santa caps, and festive cheer filled the air with the spirit of Christmas, making it a memorable day for everyone present. Families came together in large numbers, basking in the sunshine and celebrating with their loved ones.
The Principal, Dr. Paarull Sharma, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman, Directors, Parents, and distinguished guests for their presence and support, which made the event a grand success.
This year’s carnival on 22nd December 2024 was truly a milestone event, adding another glorious chapter to the legacy of Mount Fort Academy and proving once again why it is a beacon of joy and inspiration for its students and community.
