Newly Elected STUCO Body Takes Oath at Mount Fort Academy
Investiture Ceremony on Saturday, 24th May 2025
Mount Fort Academy celebrated its grand Investiture Ceremony on Saturday, 24th May 2025. This annual event is a proud tradition aimed at fostering leadership skills among students from a young age.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Vinay Pande—an educationist of great repute, former head of The Lawrence School, Sanawar, and Senior Deputy Headmaster at The Doon School. He was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Usha Pande, a renowned mathematician of the city. Their presence truly added grace to this important day in the school calendar.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, along with Directors Mr. Ashish Jain, Dr. Puja Jain, Mr. Atin Jain, and Principal Dr. Paarull Sharma. A soulful Saraswati Vandana by senior school girls followed, leaving the audience spellbound.

Principal Dr. Paarull Sharma extended a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the gracious presence of Mr. and Mrs. Pande and the collective efforts of the school community in making the event a success. Mrs. Kamlesh Jain, wife of Chairman Mr. V.K. Jain, presented a shawl and memento to Mr. Pande, while Mrs. Usha Pande was felicitated by Dr. Puja Jain and Dr. Paarull Sharma.
The ceremony concluded with the spirited singing of the school song and the National Anthem, filling the hall with patriotic fervour and pride.

The school’s Phoenix Band delivered a powerful performance of “Kholo Kholo Darwaze” from Taare Zameen Par, encouraging everyone to remain open to life’s challenges. Meritorious students from Classes I to XI, including ICSE topper Ms. Komal Shani and ISC topper Ms. Avantika Dhaulakhandi, were felicitated by Mr. Pande, along with the school directors and principal.
The highlight of the ceremony was the solemn oath-taking by the newly elected STUCO (Student Council) members, who pledged to uphold school values and lead with integrity and compassion. Head Boy Sarthak Pokhriyal and Head Girl Anjali Chauhan delivered heartfelt speeches, expressing their commitment to school ideals and responsibilities.
The school choir’s moving rendition of “I Have a Dream” earned a thunderous applause, inspiring everyone to dream big and strive for excellence.
In his address, Mr. Pande emphasized the importance of empathy, teamwork, communication, and integrity for young leaders. He encouraged the council members to lead by example and make a meaningful impact.
